Changing Family structures and Adolescence
The
family is a complex and dynamic social institution .It has been one f the most
important elements in the fabric of Indian society. The process of industrialization
and the consequent urbanization and commercialization have had drastic impacts
on the family structure. The good old joint family and scope of social,
economic and emotional security it could provide have almost vanished. The
joint family was largely replaced by different forms of family such as nuclear
family, single parent family, adoptive family, blended family, cohabiting
family etc..each contributing unparalleled emotional and behavioural problems
to children and Adolescents. Some of the major emotional and behavioural
