Do you know the cause of stealing?
The main causes why children steal are the following:
1.
Sense of insecurity: The
child develop a sense of insecurity when he is indifferent treated by the parents
or when they are frequently punished by them. This sense of insecurity
sometimes induces the child to steal.
2.
Spoiling through excessive
love: Some parents are hesitant to criticize the undesirable behaviour of their
children by justifying the antisocial behaviour which later on encourages him
to repeat it.
3.
Strict discipline: Presence
of extreme discipline in the family leads the child to complete repression of
many of his tendencies. This lead to the formation of sentimental complexes for
the fulfillment of which he returns to theft
4.
Sex problems: Psychological
studies have revealed that a child steals because of an unconscious desire to
satisfy his repressed sexual desires.
5.
Sense of adventure: Few
children find stealing an adventure, and the excitement involved is the main consideration.
