Hero motoCorp Ltd is the world's largest manufacturer of two -wheeler s-and it is based in India.This remarkable saga began with a simple  vision - the vision of a mobile and an empowered India,powered by its two wheelers , The company was established by four brothers ,the Munjal  brothers , who started a business of manufacturing bicycle spare parts in the year 1944 in Amristar.
Later,they shifted  to Ludhiana, and started a bicycle unit called Hero Cycles in 1975 ,Hero cycles became the largest bicycle manufacturer in India .
             
The Hero group joined Honda  Motors of japan in 1984,to become one of the market leaders in motorcycle sales in Indian. the company also started the manufacture of scooters  . In 2010 Honda decided to move out of this joint venture.
